(hey, I even have a pattern Etsy shop with over 8000 sales ;))

My mom taught me to knit, one summer when I was 10 bored on the beach. From there my love (some would say obsession) of yarn was born and I never stopped stitching.

I taught myself to crochet a few years ago thanks to blogs like mine and fell in love all over again.

You see, I used to stitch on my own. None of my friends and family were crafting (my mom had stoped a long time ago). I didn't have anyone with whom to exchange about projects, stitches or techniques.

Sure, I loved it, but I made a whole lot of plain garter stitch blankets, not knowing all the possibilities yarn had to offer.

That's when I started to dig into the online world of yarn and discovered so many techniques, constructions and concepts I had never heard about before. That's when I realized how much knitting and crochet had in common.

Fast forward a few years and now I run my blog Knitting with Chopsticks fulltime where I share my easy knitting & crochet patterns.

My goal is to break down knitting and crochet so they become simple enough for you to create exactly what you want, the way you want it.

After a few years of sharing my patterns online, I realized it wasn't enough. Too many crafters are alone in their crafting journey. I used to feel like such a weirdo being the only one carrying my yarn around everywhere. What type of crafter is the Stitching Squad best suited for?

The Stitching Squad is ideally created crafters who both knit and crochet since we have 80% of the workshop library which can be applied to both crafts. That being said it is a great place for any beginner to intermediate level knitter and/or crocheter looking to expand their skills, discover all the possibilities yarn have to offer and connect with other crafters.

Even if you only knit or only crochet you're more than welcome in the Stitching Squad and you'll find more than enough value for your craft!

The Stitching Squad is probably not a good fit for you if you're an advanced crafter looking for advanced techniques and intricate patterns.

What happens if I decide to cancel my membership?

You're in control. From your member area you can easily cancel your membership at any time in a few clicks!

I just started crochet/knitting last week, is this for me?

Chopstick's Stitching Squad welcomes new crafters!

However, please note this is not a complete beginner course. The absolute basic stitches of knitting and crochet are not included in the membership. We're always happy to point you to great YouTube tutorials and help you troubleshoot along the way.

I've been crocheting and knitting for a long time, should I join?

So have many Squad Members!

You'll probably already know a lot of what's being shared in the workshops as they are planned with less experienced crafters in mind, but I would be very surprised you didn't learn anything. There is always more to learn and some refreshers are often helpful.

In addition, you don't only get the workshops with the membership but patterns and Sip & Stitch parties are loved by members of all levels.

Do I have to use Facebook?

It's not mandatory!

Your member area on my website has all the workshop library, pattern download information etc.

Sip & Stitch parties are held on Zoom.

However, without joining the Facebook group, you won't fully enjoy the community aspect of the Stitching Squad has to offer.

What if I don't use Ravelry? Will I still get the pattern downloads each month?

Sure! Just send me an email with the patterns you want each month and I'll make sure you get them.

For new patterns, I'll add them in the member area to download directly.

How long will I get this membership price? Will the price ever change?

The membership price will most likely increase as the content library grows, but once you sign up, you lock in the price for the entire duration of your membership (as long as your account is in good standing).

However, if you cancel your membership and would like to join again, it will be at the current price at that time.

When are the live events?

The days and times of workshops will vary depending on speaker availability. We aim to pick a time that works for most people.

The Sip&Stitch parties are currently being held on Tuesday at 10 am ET.
